Dr. Al-Hemyem receives a delegation from the National Consensus Council of Pakistan

Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Hemyem received a delegation from the National Consensus Council from the State of Pakistan headed by Sheikh Sayed Hashim Al-Musawi. It included a number of distinguished scholars and sheikhs, in the presence of the head of the Group of Iraqi Scholars Sheikh Khalid al-Mulla.

The visiting delegation gave a brief overview of the council’s work in Pakistan and its role in combating extremism, extremism and terrorism by establishing the principles of unity and rejecting sectarianism and discrimination.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Hemyam said: I welcome the honourable guests in Baghdad, the city of science, scholars, readers and imams of Islamic sects, the city of Al-Bayt, and the honoured companions. He added: The Islamic world and our societies have been subjected to a strange thought and blind strife targeting us states and societies and that the first steps to face these deviant ideas are reconciliation with the self, and the slave will not reconcile with himself, unless he reconciles with his Lord and expose ourselves to Islamic law, and our behavior and actions must It conforms to Islamic law and its reward, stressing the need to unite and reject differences and division.

The head of the visiting delegation, Mr. Hashim Al-Musawi, said: We are honored to visit an ancient city with an extended history and a great civilization that included a lot of scholars and saints and to meet the best sheikhs of this dear country, pointing out that Iraq has been subjected to great crises and difficult circumstances and fierce attacks, was able by the efforts of the good people to stand against it . Iraqis have a great experience in facing crises and we came to share their experiences with you and to benefit from them, stressing the need to stand up to those who want to divide Muslims, and those who want to terrorize them, disbelieve them and kill them. Thank God, Iraq and the Iraqis have managed to overcome the ordeal and the Iraqi people are a society with one heart, united by love and brotherhood.

The attendees stressed the importance of the role of scholars and clerics in fighting extremist ideas that have nothing to do with the Islamic religion, considering moderate religious discourse as a key factor in rejecting division, and motivating to maintain the unity of the country and societies in the face of challenges that try to tamper with its security and its stability.
