Dr. Al-Hemyem meets the managing director of the International Security Council
Dr. Abdul latif Al-Hemyem meets the managing director of the International Security Council Mrs. Agnes Kalmird on Wednesday 15/11/2017.
They discuss many issues that concerning the current situation in Iraq, including terrorism, extremism, the subject of national reconciliation and the subject of displaced people.
Dr. Al-Hemyem provided a detailed explanation of the work of the office at the current stage, and how to fight extremism and terrorism, via preparing Khateebs and changing the curriculum, Dr. Al-Hemyem showed the managing director the national Islamic Campaign against terrorism and extremism and its role in creating popularity for the campaign through programs has been implemented previously, praising the role of the military institution whom fight ISIS.
He also talked about the national reconciliation and said ‘’ we worked on putting a document for social reconciliation in Al-Anbar, Salah Al-Den , Ninavah, Diyala and outskirts of Baghdad to resolve the issues and the tribes disputes.
Mrs. Agnes Kalmird expressed her admiration for the views presented by Dr. Ạlhemyem, stating that she agreed with Dr. Ạlhemyem that national reconciliation should be achieved, especially at this important stage, which required uniting the efforts to rebuild the country.
She also praised the efforts of Dr. Ạlhemyem n helping the displaced people and fighting terrorism as well as his efforts to unite the country.
